Privacy Policy
Last updated
This policy explains what personal data IlmAudio collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to the IlmAudio website and apps.
Data we collect
- Account data. Your email address, display name, and — if you add one — your profile picture. If you sign in through a third-party provider, we receive the basic profile that provider shares.
- Listening activity. What you play, pause, resume, skip, and finish, together with playback positions. We use this to keep your place across devices, build your Recently Played row, and personalize recommendations.
- Library and playlists. Playlists you create, items you save, and follows.
- Technical data. Device and browser type, approximate region derived from IP address, and diagnostic logs. We use these to deliver audio reliably, prevent abuse, and diagnose faults.
- Creator data. If you publish on IlmAudio, the content, artwork, and metadata you upload, plus organization and affiliation details.
- Support correspondence. Messages you send us and what we reply.
How we use your data
- to provide the Service — authentication, streaming, resume-where-you-left-off, and syncing your library;
- to personalize your home page and recommendations;
- to keep the Service secure, detect abuse, and enforce our terms;
- to understand aggregate usage so we can improve the product;
- to communicate with you about your account, and — only if you have opted in — about news and updates.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your listening history to build advertising profiles for third parties.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract — for example hosting and database providers, media delivery networks, email delivery services, and payment processors. We may also disclose data where legally required, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of IlmAudio, our users, or the public.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for those transfers.
Retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Listening events are retained in a reduced, aggregated form after a rolling window. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or enforce our agreements. Backups are purged on their normal cycle.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can update most account information directly in the app. To delete your account, or for anything else, email us from the address on your account at arhamsiddiqui344@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar storage only to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level authorization in our database to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to limit what any single failure could expose.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
